At Dunes Café in Fraserburgh, our afternoon tea is more than just a meal — it’s an experience. Served Tuesday to Saturday at 2pm, it’s your chance to slow down, catch up, and indulge in a delicious selection of freshly prepared savoury and sweet treats — all in our cosy, welcoming café.

Whether you’re based in Fraserburgh or visiting from elsewhere in Aberdeenshire, you’ll be treated to a relaxing afternoon that begins with a warming taster of our homemade soup of the day. That’s followed by a generous platter of mini sandwiches and wraps, savoury bites like haggis bon bons and mini quiches, and an indulgent assortment of homebakes and traybakes.

And of course, the Yorkshire Tea and Americano coffee flow freely throughout your visit.

Q: What days and times is afternoon tea served?
A: We serve afternoon tea Tuesday to Saturday at 2pm only.

Q: How much notice do I need to give for the booking?
A: Ideally we need at least 48 hours notice to make sure everything is perfect for you. However, we can sometimes accomodate with just 24 hours notice so please give us a call.

Q: Can I book for a group?
A: Yes! We welcome group bookings — just let us know if you’re planning something special.

Q: Do you cater for dietary requirements?
A: Yes – gluten-free, vegetarian, and other dietary needs can be accommodated. Let us know when booking. (£2 gluten-free surcharge)

Q: Do you offer a children’s version?
A: We usually find there’s enough food for very young children to pick from the adults servings. Alternatively, those with a bigger appetite can order from the kids menu in our cafe.
