When is sit-in afternoon tea served?
Tuesday to Saturday at 2pm. Please book at least 48 hours ahead. The café is closed on Sundays and Mondays.
How much does afternoon tea cost?
Sit-in afternoon tea is £22.95 per person. Takeaway afternoon tea is £15.95 per person, with a minimum order for two people. Gluten-free costs an extra £2 per person for either option.
Can I book with less than 48 hours’ notice?
We normally need at least 48 hours to prepare your afternoon tea. If you have less time, call 01346 510693 and we’ll let you know whether we can accommodate your request.
Do you offer gluten-free or vegetarian afternoon tea?
Yes. Please tell us your dietary requirements when booking. Gluten-free afternoon tea costs £24.95 per person to sit in or £17.95 per person to take away, including the £2 surcharge. Please speak to our team about allergies or other dietary requirements before booking so we can discuss what is suitable.
Can I change the sandwich fillings?
You can request that fillings are omitted or changed when you book. Our options include ham & soft cheese, chicken mayo, tuna mayo, cheese & pickle, sweet chilli chicken, coronation chicken, BBQ chicken and egg mayo.
How do I order takeaway afternoon tea?
Use the takeaway afternoon tea booking page to choose your party size and collection appointment. Collection is from Dunes Café, Tuesday to Saturday, with at least 48 hours’ notice. The minimum order is for two people. Soup and tea or coffee are not included.
Can I book for a group or a special occasion?
Yes. We welcome group bookings. If your party size isn’t shown online, or you’re planning something special, call 01346 510693 and we’ll help with the arrangements.
Do you offer a children’s afternoon tea?
We don’t offer a separate children’s afternoon tea. Very young children may be happy to share some of the adults’ food, while children with a bigger appetite can choose from our café kids’ menu.
Is there parking and easy access?
Yes. There’s ample free parking right outside the door and very easy access for wheelchair users and people with disabilities. Please call if you have specific access questions.
Can I buy afternoon tea as a gift?
Yes. You can buy a sit-in or takeaway afternoon tea voucher online. The recipient can choose their date later, subject to availability.
