Golf lessons to help you play better and enjoy the game more
Whether you have never held a golf club, play every week, or simply feel your golf should be better than it is, our PGA Professionals will help you understand what to work on and give you a clear way forward.
Book your golf lesson now
Not sure whether to choose Peter or Liam? No problem. Use our main booking page to view the available lesson options and find a time that suits you.
You do not need a perfect swing to play better golf
Golf lessons should make the game easier to understand, not fill your head with ten different swing thoughts.
At Dunes Golf Centre we coach the person in front of us. That means understanding what you want from your golf, what is actually causing the problem and what changes will make the biggest difference.
Sometimes that means changing technique. Sometimes it means improving your short game, your practice, your confidence or the decisions you make on the golf course.
The goal is simple: help you play better golf and enjoy doing it.
Lessons are built around your golf
You do not need to know what is technically wrong before you book. Tell us what you would like to improve and we will take it from there.
Driving
More consistency, better contact, improved direction or simply keeping more tee shots in play.
Iron play
Improve strike, distance control and confidence with the clubs that matter most when attacking greens.
Short game
Chipping, pitching, bunkers and wedges. Often the quickest place to save shots.
Putting
Start direction, pace control, green reading and becoming more confident over the putts that matter.
Confidence & nerves
First-tee nerves, competition anxiety, yips or struggling to take your range golf onto the course.
General improvement
Not sure where your shots are disappearing? We can assess your game and identify where improvement will help most.
Two coaches. One goal: better golf for you.
You can choose the coach whose style appeals to you, or simply book the lesson time that suits you best.
Peter Myers
Peter’s coaching is built around making golf as instinctive and uncomplicated as possible.
He particularly enjoys helping golfers who are frustrated by inconsistency, struggle to take their range game onto the course, suffer from nerves or the yips, or simply feel they are overthinking every shot.
Data from GCQuad can be used to measure what is actually happening, but the aim is always to leave you with simple ideas you can take onto the golf course.
BOOK A LESSON
Liam Waldron
Liam combines a relaxed, easy-to-understand coaching style with first-hand experience of golf at an elite competitive level.
Having represented Scotland as a junior golfer, Liam understands what it takes to develop from an enthusiastic young player into an accomplished competitive golfer.
That makes him equally comfortable helping a complete beginner get started, an improving club golfer lower their scores, or a low-handicap and competitive player looking for the finer improvements that can take their game to the next level.
Coaching that fits the golfer and the situation
From your very first swing to competitive golf, we can coach you in the environment that best helps your game.
There is no such thing as being too bad, too unusual or too late to have a golf lesson
Never played before?
Perfect. Starting with a lesson can save a lot of frustration and help you enjoy golf much sooner.
No golf clubs?
That’s fine. We can provide clubs for your lesson, so you do not need to buy equipment before you know what suits you.
Play cack-handed?
No problem. We coach the golfer you are rather than forcing everybody into exactly the same model.
Physical limitations?
Tell us what you can comfortably do and we will adapt the coaching around your movement, mobility and individual circumstances wherever possible.
Embarrassed about your golf?
Please don’t be. We see every standard of golfer and nobody is judging how good you are when you arrive.
Already a good player?
Lessons are not only for beginners. Small improvements in technique, strategy, practice or performance can make a big difference.
A simple process built around what you need
Tell us what you want help with
That might be one particular shot or simply a general feeling that your golf needs to improve.
We watch and measure
Your coach will look at what is actually happening rather than guessing. Where useful, technology such as GCQuad can support that assessment.
Work on the important bit
We focus on changes that genuinely matter rather than rebuilding your swing because it looks different.
Leave knowing what to do next
A good lesson should give you clarity. You should know what you are working on and how to practise it.
Indoor, outdoor and short-game coaching at Dunes
Different parts of your golf are often best improved in different environments.
Covered and floodlit Toptracer driving range
Indoor GCQuad and FSX Pro coaching studio
Dedicated short-game practice area
Putting and scoring work
9-hole Chip n Putt for real-golf situations
Coaching available throughout the year
Technology when it helps. Simplicity when it doesn’t.
Launch-monitor data and video can be extremely useful when they help answer a question.
But you do not need to understand a screen full of numbers to improve your golf. Your coach will turn the useful information into something practical you can actually use.
Because the golf course is where it really matters
A driving range lesson can tell us a lot about your golf swing.
But golf is not played from a perfect lie, hitting the same club towards the same target over and over again.
Out on the course we can see how you choose shots, select clubs, deal with awkward lies, manage trouble, respond to bad shots and make decisions when every shot counts.
That is why we also offer on-course coaching, helping you turn the golf you have into better scores where it matters most.
Course management and strategy
Club and shot selection
Awkward lies and real-course situations
Pre-shot routines and decision-making
Confidence, nerves and competition golf
Turning good shots into better scores
Take your coaching onto the course
We have teamed up with local partner clubs so that coaching does not have to stop at the practice ground.
An on-course lesson lets us see your game as you actually play it and identify opportunities that may never appear during a conventional range session.
